Footage of destroyed Ukrainian BMPs that invaded Russian territory caught on video
The press service of the Southern Military District has reported that the Russian military destroyed two AFU infantry fighting vehicles that violated the Russian state border and entered Russian territory
According to the source, the two infantry fighting vehicles belonging to the Ukrainian army attempted to carry out an emergency evacuation of a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Ukrainian armed forces trapped on the territory of the Donetsk people’s republic. To do so, they crossed the Russian border and entered Russian territory. Both BMPs were destroyed by Russian military and border guard fire.
A unit of the Southern Military District together with a border guard unit of Russia’s Federal Security Service prevented a sabotage and reconnaissance group from the territory of Ukraine from violating Russia’s state border, the Southern Military District said in a statement.
It is specified that five AFU servicemen were killed in the clash, while there were no casualties among Russian military and border guards.
It is also explained that a Ukrainian DRG, apparently infiltrating the territory of the Donetsk people’s republic today, reached the Russian border near the settlement of Mityakinskaya in the Rostov Region, where they were discovered by Russian border guards. The border guard requested assistance from the military and a fight ensued, during which two combat vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces entered across the border from Ukrainian territory and attempted to evacuate the group. During the skirmish, both BMPs were shot down and the Ukrainian DRG was destroyed.
