Love Is Blind: Everyone Shayne Is Getting Compared To On Reddit
Love is Blind season 2 aired this month and viewers have a lot to say about Shayne Jansen on Reddit, including comparisons to various look-alikes. Shayne Jansen is 32-year-old from Chicago who joined Love is Blind to find his new wife. Shayne is adventurous with an outgoing personality, which are attractive qualities, but his red flags made their appearances quickly. He quickly found himself in a love triangle and became disliked by most viewers.
Within the first episode, he developed a connection with Shaina Hurley and Natalie Lee. At one point, he even confused the two while in the pods. While his conversations with Natalie were more emotional, his connection with Shaina was more flirtatious. He seemed to have missed the point of the show as he continuously asked what she was wearing.
Although he seemed to get along better with Shaina, he decided to propose to Natalie. Along the way, viewers turned to Reddit to share some physical commonalities between Shayne and other celebrities.
Reddit user HauschkasFoot posted a picture of Shayne alongside Rob Gronkowski. Gronk is a tight end for the Buccaneers and it’s easy to see their resemblance. Aside from their smile and similar stature, the original poster claims they sound the same as well. Most commenters agreed and took it a step further by comparing their laughs as well.
Shayne may not be an exact replica of Ryan Reynolds in his normal glory. However, the Reddit user eIlenotwoods found a still shot from Free Guy that does look eerily like Shayne from Love is Blind. Many commenters could see the physical resemblance, but unlike Gronk, they don’t sound the same. Commenter Erela_d states the only thing missing from Reynold’s character is “a more annoying voice and some mouth breathing and it would be perfect.”
Jake Busey is another famous actor with a strong resemblance to Shayne. However, in this case, it seems to be all about the teeth. Commenter mredw86 shared, “It’s the whole ‘all your teeth are showing’ when you speak. Definitely a mouth breather.”
Overall, Love is Blind is not supposed to focus on physical appearances, but rather an emotional connection. However, some of these resemblances are spot on and hard to un-see. Although he may be disliked by some viewers, Shayne has built his relationship with Natalie based on an emotional connection and viewers are hoping for the best for these two on the rest of their Love is Blind journey.
