HBO Max Releases First Look Photos, Premiere Date for Julia Child Series 'Julia'
HBO Max is giving fans a first look at their new show Julia!
The streamer has released new photos and a premiere date for the upcoming series, which follows the life of beloved chef Julia Child and the cultural impact of her show, The French Chef.

“Through Julia‘s life and her singular joie de vivre, the series explores a pivotal time in American history – the emergence of public television as a new social institution, feminism and the women’s movement, the nature of celebrity and America’s cultural evolution,” HBO Max’s longline reads. “At its heart, the series is a portrait of a loving marriage with a shifting power dynamic.”
Sarah Lancashire is set to play Julia in the series, while David Hyde Pierce will play her husband Paul Child.
Bebe Neuwirth, Fran Kranz, Fiona Glascott and Brittany Bradford round out the cast for the upcoming series. Bebe plays culinary book editor Avis DeVoto, while Fran will take on the role of television producer Russ Morash. Fiona will play writer/editor Judith Jones and Brittany is taking on the role of Alice Naman.
The first three episodes of Julia will premiere on HBO Max on March 31, with weekly episodes to follow through May 5. Check out all the photos in the gallery below!
