Three charged with murder after man stabbed getting milk with girlfriend
Three people have been charged with murder after a man was stabbed while out getting milk with his girlfriend.
Bartosz Wyrzykowski, 21, died in hospital after being treated for stab wounds on Tuesday, February 8.
Police were called to Lionel Road in Eltham and launched a murder investigation following the death of Mr Wyrzykowski, known as Bartek.
Officers have now arrested and charged three people with murder.
Yusuf Aydin, 21, Jack Davies, 19, and a 16-year-old boy who can’t be named for legal reasons appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
They were remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.
A 21-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They have subsequently been bailed pending further enquiries.
Friends this week paid tribute to Bartek. Ola Bradford told the BBC his loved ones and friends were ‘devastated and in shock’.
She said: ‘Bartek was attacked on Tuesday outside of a local grocery shop. He went out with his girlfriend to get some milk.
‘Following unsuccessful attempts of saving his life, he sadly passed away shortly after.
‘He was 21-years-old and had his whole life ahead of him, about to start a new job.’
Police said Bartek’s next of kin continue to be supported by officers from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
A GoFundMe page set up for funeral costs has so far raised more than £6,000 for his family.
A post-mortem examination carried out at Greenwich Mortuary on Friday gave his cause of death as a stab wound to the pelvis.
