During the interview, Christine made sure to clarify the status of her union, with Kody telling viewers, "I just think that God's fine if I just want to be happy." The mother of six went on to say that she hasn't been a member of her church for a long time, noting that in their church, polygamists can leave. According to Sister Wives star, no one is trapped in an unhappy marriage. The remarks came after Robyn Brown revealed she didn't consider Kody or Christine divorced.
Kody's fourth wife told the host that in her head, since church officials did their marriage, they have to be granted a divorce through them. The defiant Christine was having none of it as she quickly took control of the subject, making it clear that no authority was going to keep her married to Kody. Christine then clarified any misconceptions by saying that she and Kody were completely divorced and separated.
