Two legendary country music stars will pair up in an epic Super Bowl advertisement for the second-largest cell phone coverage provider in the US.

Who stars in the T-Mobile Super Bowl commercial?

Miley Cyrus will star alongside her godmother Dolly Parton in T-Mobile’s Super Bowl commercial.

Fans once thought Cyrus was directly related to Parton, but the relation is not by blood but by choice. 

Cyrus was a featured voice on Parton’s Christmas album, titled A Holly Dolly Christmas.

In an interview promoting the album, Parton noted that Cyrus refers to her as “Aunt Dolly” and Cyrus recorded her portion of the album remotely. 

Miley rocked a crisp platinum hairdo paired with a sport coat and dress shirt printed in T-Mobile’s unmistakable neon pink in a 15-second teaser of the spot.

How much does a Super Bowl commercial cost?

An advertisement during the first Super Bowl in 1967 would run a company anywhere from $37,000 to $85,000. 

Things have changed in the years since.

This year, a 30-second spot will run companies a record $6.5million–and that’s just the cost of running the ad, never mind paying the celebrities to appear on screen. 

In 2021, T-Mobile spent $22million dollars on Super Bowl ad placements, making them that year’s third highest spender behind Anheuser-Busch and Pepsico.

How can I watch Super Bowl LVI?

Super Bowl LVI will feature the Cincinnati Bengals, a youthful team of destiny, going up against a group of gritty veterans in the Los Angeles Rams.

In a broadcast led by Cris Collinsworth and Al Michaels, NBC and their streaming affiliate Peacock are the primary avenues for viewing the big game. 

Alternative means of watching include the NFL Official App, the Yahoo Sports App, NFL’s Game Pass and a select group of radio stations.

The game is on February 13, 2022 and kicks off at 6:30pm.
