Report: Former Spurs winger now sells bouncy castles after retirement
Former Tottenham winger John Chiedozie set up an entertainment business selling bouncy castles upon his retirement from football, according to the Daily Star.
Chiedozie, who spent four years at Spurs in the 1980s, amassed over 70 appearances for the club before his retirement in 1992.
Years after hanging up his boots, the 61-year-old planned his next career move, which the Daily Star has now revealed was a child entertainment business.
Alongside his wife, Chiedozie set up Bumpers – a company specialising in soft play equipment such as bouncy castles, inflatables and animals for children’s birthday parties. The business is located in the New Forest area of Hampshire where he now resides.
Chiedozie moved to England from Nigeria as a 12-year-old in 1972 without being able to speak English. Alongside Tottenham, he appeared for Leyton Orient, Notts County, Derby and Chesterfield before ending his career at Hampshire non-league side Bashley.

This is a cool and light-hearted story as many football players are never sure what to do after they retire from the game. It is a niche business idea and he clearly must have spotted a gap in the market where he lives and sought to plug it with the help of his wife.
