Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan up security at £1.3m Essex mega-mansion after terrifying car robbery
MARK Wright and Michelle Keegan are boosting the security measures at their new mega-mansion with two-metre high gates.
The Sun revealed the couple’s plans for gates at their dream home in Ongar, Essex back in January after Mark’s £65,000 Range Rover was stolen.
Now Stanford Parish Council have given the green light for Mark, 35, and Michelle, 34, to put up the new gates, but raised a concern over the style of the barriers.
A letter to Epping Forest District Council, seen by MailOnline, states: ‘Whilst the Parish Council has NO OBJECTION to this application, it has concerns about the style of the gate, specifically its opaqueness, and requests that consideration be given to an alternative style of gate more fitting to the surrounding rural environment (such as slatted design) whilst also considering and protecting the security of the applicant.
“The Parish Council supports the provision of landscaping around the perimeter of the site as proposed within this application.”
Radio presenter Mark desperately sought the help of police and fans on social media after the pricey motor was pinched from outside his Essex home in broad daylight.

The Sun revealed the celeb couple believe their movements were being monitored in the run-up to the theft.
A source said: “Mark and Michelle fear that they were targeted and the thieves drove past their house several times over a few days before spotting the gates were left open.
“It would be too much of a coincidence that it was a random robbery – someone had to be keeping an eye out for the gates to be left open.”
Mark and Michelle bought their home for £1.3 million but set about turning it into a high-tech mansion bristling with security features.
The stunning country pad has been designed like an elegant fortress and fitted with 360 degree motion-sensing cameras.
The pair often post updates on the building’s progress on their Wrighty Home Instagram account.
The master bedroom, which Mark has shown off on Instagram, has its own glass balcony so the couple can enjoy the countryside views.
Each of the property’s five bedrooms has its own en-suite, while three of them have dressing rooms.
They have shared computer-generated images of the living room and their en-suite spa area as well as the impressive exterior.
Mark has said he hoped to move into the house within weeks in a recent interview.
