An Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim player has maxed out every single skill in the game after 600 hours of gameplay. Skyrim is the most popular game in the Elder Scrolls series, and has sold over 30 million copies since its release in 2011. The fantasy RPG remains popular a decade after its release - the sheer size of the game's world and a nearly endless amount of quests, coupled with Skyrim mods created by players, have been more than enough to keep players' interest.
There are a total of 18 different skills in Skyrim that cover a wide range of in-game aspects, including two different armor types, one-handed and two-handed weapons, and even things like lockpicking and weapon smithing. Every skill has a unique set of perks associated with it as well, letting players unlock boons like extra damage and more powerful spells as the level increases. The initial maximum level for skills is 100, at which time skills are incredibly powerful. Gamers can make their character even stronger through Skyrim's legendary skills option, which will knock skills back down to 15 and allow for that skill to continue to be leveled and count towards a player's overall character level.
Reddit user i-am-not-fish shared their incredible Skyrim accomplishment this week, showing off their list of completely maxed skills, which took 600 hours to achieve. Some skills have even become legendary and risen above 100, with the highest being the Alteration skill at level 142. The skills aren't the only impressive accomplishment in the video - it also reveals the user's character is an awe-inspiring level 252 and has over 1,000 points of both health and magicka. Between the entirely maxed skills and powerful stats, this player has created an incredibly powerful character.
It's no wonder this feat took 600 hours to complete, and not just because of Skyrim's massive size. To max out all 18 skills requires the player to switch up their style of play drastically several times. It means the player had to focus on Skyrim's sneak-reliant archery fighting just as much as multiple styles of confrontational combat, and then entirely shift their focus again from weapon-centric combat to several different schools of magic. It's certainly an achievement to be proud of - mastering so many different methods of gameplay is the sign of a truly skilled player.
It's a testament to Skyrim's massive amount of replayability that even though this player has already spent 600 hours in-game, there are likely still things left to be discovered. The player could attempt the same feat again as a different race of character and see how that affects gameplay, or try making different story choices along the way and see how they impact the game's world. While many fans of the Elder Scrolls series are growing impatient about the release of Elder Scrolls 6, impressive in-game achievements like this are a good reminder that there is still a lot fans can get out of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim over 10 years later.
