Joe Millionaire: Kurt & Steven Compete To Be King For A Day In Preview Clip
Joe Millionaire has flipped the roles in an exclusive clip for the next episode, and this time bachelors Kurt and Steven are competing for a date with the woman of their choice. In past episodes, it is typically the female contestants competing in mini-challenges for the chance to win some alone time with the bachelors. In the second episode of Joe Millionaire: For Richer Or Poorer, the women competed in a "gold-digging" challenge where the two women that mined the most gold won a one-on-one date with either Kurt or Steven. Carolyn and Jennie were crowned winners. While Jennie and Steven made a connection on their first date, their chemistry seemed to fizzle out, and she was sadly sent home in the show's latest episode.
Kurt and Carolyn, however, have formed a strong bond which has caused quite the drama with the other girls in the house. The pair was instantly drawn to each other from the moment they met in the series premiere; however, Carolyn has seemingly had a hard time sharing Kurt with her fellow contestants, despite encouraging him to get to know the other girls in the mansion. After bonding with Carolyn, Kurt began spending more time with fellow contestant Amanda, and their continuous PDA did not go over well with Carolyn. Steven, on the other hand, is growing closer to contestant Whitney and is having an easier time getting to know the girls without any backlash from jealous contestants.
If Kurt's romances were causing drama before, it certainly isn't getting any easier for him as an exclusive preview clip reveals he will have to choose one of eight remaining contestants to go on a date with. In the Joe Millionaire clip from FOX, Kurt and Steven compete against each other in a relay race to see who will be crowned King for a day while the contestants stand on the sidelines and cheer them on. The men are seen jumping over hay barrels, flipping tires and popping open champagne bottles as Kurt admits, "I am operating purely on pride and ego right now." While viewers learned in the first episode that Steven is the millionaire, his lack of experience with popping champagne leads contestant Kalah to question his net worth.
Butler Martin Andrew announces, "It's neck and neck," but Kurt ultimately finishes the challenge first, placing the King's crown on his head. As a prize, Kurt will take one lucky contestant on a lavish date with a horse-drawn carriage, while Steven and his date will settle for a bouncy house and a pickup truck. It was not revealed which contestants will be chosen for the date, so it's unknown if they will choose one of the girls they've connected with or a different girl they've been wanting to get to know. Whatever the case, it will likely cause some drama between the women who weren't chosen.
Steven may be worth $10 million, but it looks like Kurt takes the crown when it comes to royalty. As a CEO in farming, Steven likely won't mind a less glamorous date. After all, he did choose to take the women to a honky tonk in the series premiere instead of the cotillion ball where Kurt dined with the other contestants. With all the drama surrounding Kurt and Carolyn, fans will be on the edge of their seats, waiting to see who the bachelor chooses and how the other girls will react. With the preview clip ending on a cliffhanger, fans of the show will have to tune in to the next episode of Joe Millionaire to find out how the dates will go down.
