Summer House: Why Luke Gulbranson Thinks Ciara Miller Has To 'Grow Up'
Luke Gulbranson brought his friend and former flame Ciara Miller to Summer House season 5, but they are now on the outs and Luke thinks Ciara needs to “grow up.” Luke joined Summer House season 4 and caused a stir when fans thought he was playing with Hannah Berner’s emotions. When Luke introduced Ciara to the group in season 5, Hannah felt betrayed. According to Hannah, she and Luke had been dating. However, Hannah welcomed Ciara with open arms and they bonded over being cat people.
Luke spent the beginning of season 5 trying to pursue Ciara, but she rebuffed his advances. The two Summer House castmates had hooked up in the past. However, Ciara said that it was “purposeless” and that they had just rebounded with each other. She sided with Hannah after hearing from her regarding how Luke had treated her. Ciara felt like Luke downplayed his relationship with Hannah when he brought her onto the show. Ciara and Luke’s friendship became strained afterward and never became close, even though they appeared on the Summer House spinoff Winter House together.
Ciara recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live and Andy Cohen asked her who the “douchiest” guy on Bravo was. In response, Ciara claimed that it was Luke. Ciara later apologized to him for saying his name, but Luke was not having it. Luke told Us Weekly that he was surprised to hear negative comments considering he’d always been nice to her. He called her comments about him “distasteful” and claimed she was acting like a “mean girl.” Luke didn’t talk to Ciara afterward, saying that he didn’t need somebody that treated him badly in his life. He seems open to hashing it out with her over time, but in order to do that, “she needs to grow up a little bit.” Fellow Summer House castmate Danielle Olivera may side with Luke on this one, especially after Ciara threw a glass of wine at her on the show.
Ciara further caused a strain between her and Luke’s friendship when she named Southern Charm star Austen Kroll as a better kisser than Luke. Ciara and Austen met on Winter House and quickly hit it off. Ciara and Austen dated briefly after Winter House ended, but the couple had different goals and just couldn’t make things work. Alas, Luke did not hold back his feelings to Us Weekly, saying: “I’m the douchiest guy on Bravo. And now you’re gonna tell everybody that Austen is a better kisser than me? She just continues to go down the path of, like, throwing shade at me.”
Luke shared that his relationship with Ciara completely changed the moment that they entered Summer House. He acknowledged that people change, but he didn’t appreciate the constant shade being thrown at him. Luke makes a late appearance on Summer House in 2022 due to things back in his home in Minnesota that he had to take care of. There are also rumors of him hooking up with Summer House newcomer Mya Allen. Fans will have to wait for Luke’s arrival to see what drama he brings.
