Taking to Twitter, Lucy said: “Clarifying that this is my nephew and I’ve not just had a secret pregnancy for the last nine months.”
It was reported in December that Lucy had split from Preston North End footballer Ryan Ledson, 24, after she was spotted on celebrity dating app, Raya.
An insider said at the time: “Lucy appears to have given Ryan the red card because she has got a profile on Raya.
“It seems she is looking for dates too, as the profile doesn’t state she is just looking for friendship.
“She’s been with Ryan since May and they only moved in together three months ago so if their romance has turned sour already it is a real shame.”
Lucy joined the cast of Coronation Street back in 2015 and went on to play the role of Bethany Platt for five years.
During Lucy’s time on the iconic cobbles she won a National Television Award for Outstanding Serial Drama Performance in 2018.
She was praised for her role after her character became embroiled in a toxic, grooming storyline.
It also earned her Best Female Dramatic Performance at the 2018 British Soap Awards.
After leaving the hit ITV soap, Lucy went on to star in the challenge series Don’t Rock The Boat and soon she will begin filming for new ITV drama Tom Jones.
Lucy will play Lady Bellaston in the production, which is adapted from author Henry Fielding’s classic novel The History of Tom Jones, A Foundling.
