KUWTK: Julia Fox Wishes Kim & Kanye Would Settle Issues
Dating someone still in the process of a hectic divorce can be tough, and Julia Fox wishes that Kanye West and star of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim Kardashian would settle their issues once and for all. Julia and Kanye met on New Year’s Eve and began dating shortly after. Kanye and Julia have gone on numerous dates since then, both in Julia’s native city of NYC and in Los Angeles. Most recently, for Julia’s 32nd birthday, Kanye gave the Uncut Gems star and many of her friends Birkin bags as gifts to celebrate the special occasion. Similar to the “Gold Digger” rapper, Julia went through a divorce from her ex-husband and co-parent, Peter Artemiev, in September of 2020.
Kanye has made a huge splash in the media lately due to conflict surrounding Kim and their four children. Kanye and Kim share North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2. North has been in the spotlight in recent weeks because Kanye feels strongly that the eight-year-old shouldn’t be on popular social media app Tik Tok and is annoyed he wasn't involved in the decision. However, Kim feels North being on Tik Tok is harmless compared to the media attention Kanye has caused the divorce to receive. Kanye has also accused Kim of “kidnapping” their children and making it difficult to see them, something Kim has denied. Both Kim and Kanye have taken their marital qualms to social media, resulting in a public divorce making many headlines.
So what does Kanye’s new fling have to say about the turbulent divorce? According to a source reporting to Page Six, Julia understands the situation but hopes Kanye and Kim will soon resolve their issues. Julia’s patience is likely connected to the fact that she dealt with a stressful divorce herself, describing her ex-husband Artemiev as an “absent father” to their one-year-old Valentino. “Julia’s been in the same predicament, so she understands that divorces are messy and when kids are involved it makes it almost impossible,” the source explained. “She just wants them to resolve their issues.”
While Julia is understanding of the “messy divorce," she seems to be ultimately taking Kanye’s side. The same source explained that Julia finds it “a little strange and coincidental that after any big outing they have in the press, something like this happens.” Julia feeling that Kim provokes Kanye contradicts Kim’s claimed intentions. “There’s been more instances of subtle retaliation and gaslighting,” the source claims, explaining that Kim “does stuff to purposely trigger him because she knows he’ll take the bait.” Kim shared a statement last Friday denying she does anything to attack her ex-husband, claiming he is the more aggressive party in question.
Any divorce with children in the picture is bound to be chaotic. But when you split up iconic couple Kimye the media storm is destined to be on the horizon. Previously, Kim was cautious in how she publicly responded to Kanye. In recent weeks, she has become more vocal. Kanye and Kim have always focused on raising their children well, and while the conflict seems to stem from parenting their four kids, it will also hopefully be the reason the pair ultimately settle their issues. Those who enjoy Keeping Up With the Kardashians will have to wait to see how the two iron issues out when the divorce becomes final.
