90 Day Fiancé: Yara Shares Scary Travel Experience In Iran Before Jovi
90 Day Fiancé star Yara Zaya shared a terrifying travel story on Instagram from the time she traveled to Bali via Iran. Fans may know that the 27-year-old reality star loves traveling and exploring different countries around the world. When Yara was first featured on a Ukrainian reality TV show at the young age of 19, she hoped to date a rich foreigner as they are more intelligent than Ukrainian men. She got into a relationship with a Barcelona-based Russian man named Raphael, but things didn't work out with him. Eventually, Yara met her now-husband, Jovi Dufren, through a travel app.
At first, Yara and Jovi were looking for a one-night stand, but they gradually fell in love with each other. Thanks to Jovi's ROV supervisor job, the couple got to travel worldwide, including countries like Brazil, Indonesia, Egypt, Greece, and Ukraine. In 2018, Yara became pregnant with Jovi's baby, but she suffered a tragic miscarriage when the couple was exploring Croatia. But this experience brought this 90 Day Fiancé duo closer, and they got engaged. Eventually, the New Orleans resident filed for Yara's K-1 visa, and she moved to the United States.
Before meeting Jovi, Yara was in a relationship with another man. In 2015, she decided to meet her ex-boyfriend in Bali, Indonesia, but she had to take a layover in Iran. While she was waiting to board the next flight, about ten people came to her and asked her to cover her head. Yara was also warned that someone would kidnap her if she didn't cover her head. The 90 Day Fiancé star, who was wearing a big sweater and leggings, didn't believe those people at first. She added, "But after 4 people come to me, I started to worry."
Fortunately, a local woman ran up to the owner of Boujee makeup Yara and gave her her handkerchief. But Yara's scary story didn't end there. She added, "Then they took my passport away from me and did not give it back for a long time." The Ukrainian native was scared, and she decided never to take a layover in Iran after she received her passport. She posted a photo from 2015 to show how she looked with the headscarf.
Yara must have been 20 years old when she had this frightening experience. She is quite brave to travel alone to another country at such a young age. Although she had a bad experience, it is comforting to see that it didn't discourage her from traveling in the future. Thanks to her trip to Budapest, she finally met the love of her life.
