Report: Serie A club may listen to £34m summer offers for player Paratici admires
Calciomercato.it have revealed that AS Roma may be open to cashing in on rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Nicolo Zaniolo in the summer transfer window.
Zaniolo has been a long-term target for Tottenham, with the club being linked with a move for the winger as far back as in 2019 (Mirror).
Calciomercato.it have now stated that Spurs could make a move for the 22-year-old in the summer, with Fabio Paratici known to be an admirer of the player.
The report claims that Roma are expected to reopen talks with Zaniolo’s entourage in the hope of extending his current deal, which runs until the summer of 2024.
However, it is explained that there is still a ‘distance’ between the two parties and the Giallorossi do not consider extending the winger’s contract a priority.
If an agreement is not reached, it is asserted that Jose Mourinho’s men would be willing to listen to offers for Zaniolo starting from €40m (£33.8m) in the summer.
Apart from Spurs, it is suggested that Juventus could also look to target the Italy international should Paulo Dybala leave the Allianz Stadium.

While I was excited about the speculation linking Spurs with a move for Zaniolo until a couple of years ago, the 22-year-old simply has not looked the same player since returning from his ACL injury last season. So, any club willing to move for him in the summer would be taking a huge risk, particularly at the price being reported.
