THE Chase fans found themselves ‘yawning’ tonight after listening to a contestant reeling off her sporting achievements.
Jo, a social sciences research manager, was quick to tell host Bradley Walsh about every endurance event she has taken part in while introducing herself.
But viewers at home were not so receptive.
Jo, 40, said: “I love being active. Whether it’s running or swimming or cycling.
“I’ve done a couple of half marathons, I did my first triathlon two weeks ago, I’ve got my second one next week…just anything where I can get out and do.
“I love eating cheese, and I love drinking wine, so it’s bringing my passions together on a Tour de France which I did earlier this year.
“I cycled 300km around Normandy.”
Jo went on to explain that she planned to buy a new bike with any winnings: “Something zippy,” she added.
Bradley seemed genuinely impressed – although fans of The Chase were not as interested.
One tweeted: #TheChase Quicker to say what you haven’t done.”
Another added: “I’ve no interest in your running or outdoor life. #TheChase.”
A third said: “Jo – Yadda Yadda Yadda …. Boring #TheChase.”
And a fourth even mused: Wow interesting stuff, shut the f*** up now. #TheChase.”
However, others were quick to defend Jo.
One shot back: “I think she’s alright. She’s not half as attention seeking as some.”
Another declared: “I think I’m in love with Jo! #thechase.”
A third shot back at one critic: “I’m sure she doesn’t care what you think when you’re sitting the couch and she’s out smashing half marathons.”
During the latest instalment of the ITV game show, Jo made it through to the Final Chase alongside one other contestant called Mark.
The pair took on Chaser Ann Haggerty in a bid to win £14,000 – but they didn’t get to answer a single question.
Ann correctly answered 16 questions in 49 seconds without a single push-back, meaning Jo and Mark walked away with nothing.
