Doane Wrestling went 3-0 on January 29 at the GPAC Duals to cap their second straight undefeated season in conference matches. The performance was highlighted by the efforts of Chinges Tsermaa (SO/Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia), who has been named the GPAC Wrestler of the Week after posting a perfect record on the weekend.
Tsermaa received his first GPAC honor by collecting two pins and a tech fall victory. He opened the day against Jamestown's Raqueal Wagstaff and pinned him in 4:15. In the second match of the day against Dakota Wesleyan, Tsermaa won by tech fall, 20-3, to defeat Tyson Johnson. He wrapped up the day against Morningside and won by pin in 1:18 as Tsermaa defeated Abraham Dirkx.
Doane completed an 8-0 conference slate for their second GPAC regular season title. Tsermaa improved to 15-6 on the season and is ranked No. 10 in the NAIA.
