Shiny Jumpluff is going to be a lot easier to find and capture in Pokémon Go. Shiny Pokémon overall are the most difficult Pokémon to encounter. It's common for trainers to get through their entire Pokémon journey from start to finish without ever encountering one. Fortunately, in the case of Pokémon Go, this mobile title makes it easier than ever to find them. The base odds of finding a Shiny Pokémon is 1/500, but there are multiple ways to decrease this number. For example, an upcoming Community Day event will focus on Hoppip, presenting trainers with the opportunity to find Shiny Jumpluff.
Hoppip Community Day will take place on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this time period, Hoppip will appear in the wild much more frequently, and its Shiny form will also appear much more easily. The odds are dropped from 1/500 to 1/25 during Community Day. It appears in a bright-green color and will sparkle when it appears on the screen.
To find a Shiny Jumpluff, capturing a raising a Shiny Hoppip during Community Day is the player's best bet. Hoppip will evolve into Skiploom after being given 25 Hoppip candy. After this, another 100 candy is required to make Skiploom into Jumpluff. Fortunately, there are tons of different ways to get more candy in Pokémon Go. It starts with using more Pinap Berries.
Pinap Berries are an item that trainers can use in battle to earn double the candy at the end of the capture in Pokémon Go. With tons of Hoppip spawning at a time, it shouldn't take too long to earn enough candy to get it to its final phase. Fortunately, only 21 Hoppip needed to be captured using Pinap Berries to reach this goal. Since this is Community Day, this Jumpluff can learn the exclusive move Acrobatics. It's a Flying-type charged move that does 110 damage in trainer battles and 100 damage in raid battles and gyms.
The Jumpluff will only learn this move if the player evolves it during the event or within two hours after the event is over. Try to capture as many Shiny Hoppip as possible since they can be used as valuable bargaining chips. It's common for trainers to miss out on a Community Day or two, but they still want to fill out their collection. Aim for at least six Shiny Hoppip before Community Day is over. Another Community Day will replace it in March.
