NCRA as the nodal institute for India’s participation in the SKA, has led the activities since the last 10 years or so. "With the formation of the SKA India Consortium in 2015, these activities have grown steadily to involve several institutions in the country. Today, India is well poised to join the construction phase of the SKA, having made significant contributions to the design phase during 2014 to 2020, including leading the design of the Telescope Manager system of the SKA," the release said.
