With Respawn working on a range of Star Wars titles, it's perhaps Jedi: Fallen Order which fans are the most excited for. The notion that players will be able to explore a range of new planets is definitely a tantalizing one, but which locations will be vital for the overall narrative of the game?
There are so many planets that could and should feature in the sequel, considering their position within the larger franchise and what they could contribute to Cal Kestis as he continues to discover himself. These planets have been seen before, but some might not be as heavily featured as they should be.
Cal Kestis will be very familiar with Coruscant, which fans know held the capital of both the Republic and the Jedi. The planet has since become a hotbed for Empire activity, with the Imperials taking over the democratic system that once ruled over the galaxy.
It would be dangerous for Kestis to travel this deep into enemy territory, yet absolutely thrilling for players. As he tracks the history of the Jedi it's vitally important that he revisits the site of the Temple that brought about the destruction and purge of the Order in the first place.
Interestingly, Dathomir actually featured in the original Jedi: Fallen Order. It was a mysterious location to explore and once home to the Nightsisters who have now largely been disposed of. With Merrin on the team, a Nightsister herself, a return to the planet feels likely.
The great order of the Nightsisters deserves to be built up once more since it's an integral component in the balance of the Force. There's no telling what other secrets the planet might be holding; perhaps the key to resurrection that could restore the cult itself.
Tatooine is one of the most overused locations within the Star Wars galaxy, yet it's also a rite of passage now for a young Jedi to pass through the planet if they are to be the future of the Order. Rey, Anakin, and Luke have all been heavily linked to this world.
Cal Kestis's path is certainly not over and Tatooine might be a worthy next stop for the warrior. During this period of time, Obi-Wan Kenobi will be patrolling the world to protect the young Skywalker, and a crossover of the two characters would do wonders for Cal's understanding of the Force.
There are very few worlds that permeate darkness, and while Exegol is a recent addition to that list, Moraband is arguably the original. The planet is the supposed homeworld of the Sith Order itself and has stood as a symbol of despair in the years since.
Planets like Ilum, which have vital connections to the Jedi, were visited as part of Cal's journey in the first game. Perhaps the sequel should allow players to explore those locations that have forged the dark side of the Force; especially the temples on Moraband.
Tython is the world most associated with the Jedi and boasts a great deal of power. It has been spoken of in legend and provided a perfect place for Grogu to send out a signal into the galaxy, in the hope of reuniting these ancient magicians. Cal Kestis has to visit Tython at some point.
The planets he has ventured to thus far have been crucial in understanding the Jedi Order itself. Tython would give great knowledge to Kestis and might help Cere Junda continue to connect herself to the Force. It's such a stunning location that it would be intriguing to explore and should hopefully uncover some mysteries of the Jedi.
Batuu is the planet at the center of Galaxy's Edge at Walt Disney Parks. It's a location that has garnered increased focus within the expanded universe and it might be fun to allow fans to explore the Outer Rim outpost in more detail in the video game world.
It's been a hotbed of criminal and smuggler activity and could be a perfect place for Cal Kestis to hide out while the hunt for Jedi continues. But it's also a world where Thrawn and Vader have spent some time, meaning Kestis would be on full alert.
Prequel planets are returning once again to prominence and Naboo is one that has been portrayed to its disservice time and time again. Jedi: Fallen Order could correct the record, demonstrate what became of the world, and represent its gorgeous natural vistas.
It's a beautiful location but would allow Cal Kestis to either interact with the royalty above the ground or the civilization beneath the waves. Naboo was once a huge planet within the Republic and perhaps it could be the key to Kestis's journey as he looks at the fate of the Jedi.
Cal Kestis hates Clones thanks to his own experience with Order 66. The home planet of these warriors has been largely destroyed although there is still some infrastructure remaining within Kamino. For Kestis to come to terms with his past, he may need to travel to Kamino.
Fans have actually seen very little of the planet outside of its capital, but there could be whole civilizations beneath the ocean as well. He may be able to free the Clones that remain if he also discovers the secret of the chips that have been inserted into their heads.
Geonosis was a major hub of activity for the Separatists and the planet that saw the most construction of battle droids. Those factories may still remain in some form and although the Geonosians have largely died out, they are definitely survivors.
From the zombified warriors to the queen herself, there are a lot of threats on Geonosis. Cal Kestis may be looking to reactivate the droids in order to fight back, or could perhaps be exploring the links the former Trade Federation had to this planet. The sands definitely hold secrets.
Corruption and crime can usually be led back to the Hutts, who are gangsters across the galaxy. Fans briefly saw Nal Hutta, their grotesque homeworld which certainly plays into the image that has been created surrounding the slug-like creatures.
Cal Kestis could probably hideaway on Nal Hutta, but if he's looking to rid the galaxy of some of its worst bounty hunters and criminals then this is a perfect place to start. Jabba the Hutt is alive at this point in the timeline and might pose a great threat to the Jedi in hiding.
