Unlocking Base Camps in Pokémon Legends: Arceus allows players to set up new camps in the Hisui region. Each main location has two camps available.
Unlocking every base camp in Pokémon Legends: Arceus will make it much easier to navigate through the Hisui region. After unlocking access to Obsidian Fieldlands, players can wander throughout the area and capture as many Pokémon as they'd like. The game will start off with common Sinnoh Pokémon like Starly and Bidoof but as trainers get deeper into the world, more dangerous Pokémon will appear. For the first time ever, it's possible for the player character to faint themselves, not only their Pokémon team. If this happens, they'll drop a handful of items from their satchel and online players will be able to pick it up.
To prevent this from happening, the best thing to do would be to focus on unlocking every base camp in the region. There are five different major locations in the Hisui region with additional camps that can be unlocked. At base camps, players can heal themselves, their Pokémon, craft items, purchase new equipment, swap out Pokémon, and check in with Professor Laventon on Pokédex progress. It's even possible to warp to these locations during critical moments. The first base camp for each area is unlocked from the beginning, but a handful of NPCs can add more if the player assists them.
There are 10 different Base Camps available in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. From experience, the best thing to do would be to unlock these first. It'll make exploring these new areas much easier and will offer trainers a safe space from danger. Each area gives one free base camp but the second one requires players to complete a specific request.
These are all the active requests to unlock base camps in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Base camps even allow players to change the time of day by visiting the tent. It will give trainers a long list of time options to choose from. Only a handful of Pokémon will only appear during the night time. For example. trainers looking to find and capture Drifloon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus will need to wait until evening. Trainers looking to complete their Pokédex in Arceus will need to, at least, complete research 10 of each Pokémon. It's not a simple task, but having the base camps set up will make it easier.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is available now on Nintendo Switch.
