Report: Conte to put ‘huge pressure’ on Spurs board to complete four signings this week
Antonio Conte is reportedly putting ‘huge pressure’ on the Tottenham board to sign four new players in the final week of the January transfer window, according to Football Insider.
Tottenham have yet to bring in any players this month, despite Conte reiterating the importance of needing to improve the squad at his disposal (The Athletic).
Football Insider claim that Conte will now look to turn up the heat on his push for reinforcements, with sources hinting that he is growing frustrated with the lack of activity over three weeks into the window.
The Italian is alleged to have requested a right wing-back, midfielder and striker which have yet to be addressed ahead of the January 31 deadline.
Spurs are reportedly close to securing their first incoming in the form of Adama Traore with Sky Sports claiming that talks over a potential £25 million deal are continuing to progress.
Meanwhile, a host of outgoings have been shortlisted by the club with the likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Dele Alli and Giovani Lo Celso all said to be on the chopping block (Evening Standard) to free up funds and space for further signings.
The Telegraph report club-record signing Ndombele could leave North London to join French giants Paris Saint-Germain in a loan move or swap.
Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has since been named as one potential option to come in by Fabrizio Romano, while AC Milan’s Franck Kessie continues to be monitored with less than six months remaining on his current deal (Sky Sports).

The clock is ticking for Spurs to listen to Conte and his requests to improve the squad. He has been very clear on what needs improving and the types of players to bring in, now it is own to Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici to deliver. But now the question is whether it has been left too late.
