Dusan Vlahovic IGNORING Fiorentina over Arsenal transfer interest, claims club chief as race for striker heats up
FIORENTINA star Dusan Vlahovic is ignoring the club’s calls after Arsenal’s reported £50.1million bid for the player.
That is according to the Viola’s CEO Joe Barrone, who accused Vlahovic and his representatives of refusing contact with him and the club.
This comes after reports of the Gunners’ latest offer for the highly-rated striker, which also includes a permanent move for Lucas Torreira at the Artemio Franchi where he currently plays on loan.
Barone told DAZN: “We’ve not received any official bid for Vlahovic as things stand.
“We’re open to discuss and negotiate – but we want Vlahovic and his agent to be clear on the future, as they’re not answering. We need to talk about it.
“[We want] Clarity from the player and his entourage. Fiorentina have a future, a group, a support and a city that must focus on this season
“I would like to talk about Fiorentina because Fiorentina plays and I want to talk about the group that deserves everything that is happening, starting with the club.
“Every day we talk about Vlahovic. On this issue Fiorentina has not received any offers. We are open to everything but we want clarity.”

Vlahovic is Arsenal’s top target amid the ongoing January transfer window and manager Mikel Arteta wishes to sign him this month before competition heats up in the summer.
However, reports suggest there is already competition as Tottenham and Newcastle are said to be keeping tabs on the Serbia international, who seems to favour a move to Manchester City if he joins the Premier League.
Juventus have also joined the bidding war and have reportedly offered £50m for the 21-year-old.
Vlahovic, whose contract runs out next year in June, seems to prefer to stay in Serie A and is open to a move to Juve.
