'FBI: Most Wanted' Star Julian McMahon Leaving The Show After Three Seasons

Julian McMahon has announced he’ll be leaving FBI: Most Wanted.

The 53-year-old actor, who played Supervisory Special Agent Jess LaCroix on the CBS series, shared the big news with his fans over the weekend and opened up about why he decided to leave.

“Over the past few months, the producers of FBI: Most Wanted and I have had discussions about my departure from the show in favor of additional creative pursuits and the transition of my character Jess LaCroix,” Julian shared. “These ongoing conversations have given us an opportunity to orchestrate a seamless and productive way for me to leave the show.”

He also reflected on his time on the drama series.

“I would like to express the gratitude and admiration I have had working with [executive producers] Dick Wolf and Peter Jankowski,” he added. “I’m extremely proud of the work we have done together and put the development of this show, and my character Jess, at the top of my professional experience list. I wish the show, and its cast & crew, the greatest success in the future. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to play Jess; he is a good man.”

“We are saddened to see Julian leave,” Dick added, via Deadline. “His portrayal of agent Jess LaCroix has been a key factor in the success of FBI: Most Wanted. We will miss him and we wish him the best in his next chapter.”

Julian‘s final episode is expected to film next week and will air on March 8.

FBI: Most Wanted will introduce a new character later this season who will join the team, which is tasked with the most extreme and egregious cases.

His exit follows both Nathaniel Arcand, who left after two seasons, and Kellan Lutz, who exited the show earlier this season.
