After keeping their season alive with road wins over the Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys, the 49ers (12-7) beat Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the fourth time in four playoff meetings.
Next up for the 49ers: another road game against either Tom Brady and the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Matthew Stafford and the Rams, a team the 49ers have beaten six consecutive times. The Bucs and the Rams play today at noon in Tampa.
“Our guys just never wavered,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said after a victory that never seemed likely. “We never overreact to anything. We just keep playing football.”
