On Cheer season 2, Lexi Brumback is no longer on the team. Fans are curious about why she isn't a bigger part of the onscreen action.
Lexi Brumback starred in Cheer season one and appears in Cheer season two, and fans want to know why she left the cheerleading squad. The giant streaming service Netflix introduced viewers to the reality show about college cheerleaders in January 2020. Viewers quickly saw that there is more to the world of cheerleading than waving pom-poms. The Cheer stars wowed fans with their athletic talent, as well as their dedication to their sport. Lexi was considered one of the best tumblers on the team.
Cheer is centered around the award-winning Navarro College Bulldogs cheerleading team, which is based in Corsicana, Texas. Lexi soon became a fan favorite, due to her rise from a troubled past. Cheerleading helped her to overcome the ill effects of her difficult background. She shared that the sport saved her life and that she might have ended up in jail otherwise. She opened up about resorting to violent behavior in the past, and how she had to spend time in juvenile detention. Now, as a 22-year-old, she has managed to stay on the straight and narrow, until an unfortunate incident got her kicked off the cheer team.
It was revealed in the Cheer season finale that Lexi and her friends were driving in a car when they were stopped by the police. Law enforcement officials searched the car and found illegal substances inside. Lexi took the fall for it, and coach Monica Aldama booted her off the team. Monica made it clear that she would always be there for Lexi if she needed her, despite her mistake. She showed compassion for Lexi by letting her know that it wasn’t the end of their relationship. Fortunately for Lexi, the charges were dropped, and Monica allowed Lexi back on the cheer team. However, everything was delayed due to COVID-19, and Lexi graduated college before the cheerleading season started.
Like her coach Monica, who was invited to compete on Dancing With the Stars, Lexi has accessed a lot of opportunities due to appearing on Cheer. She found a new path in life by becoming a social media influencer. With over 762k followers on Instagram, Lexi is making bank by promoting big brands, including Rihanna’s lingerie line, Savage X Fenty. Lexi also has her own clothing line called Hexx By Lexx, which sells t-shirts, sweatshirts, and sweatpants. Her lexisbrumback website promises an upcoming YouTube channel. As a former art major, Lexi has shared her plans to pursue sculpture, jewelry-making, and animation.
According to her Instagram posts, Lexi spends her downtime going to music festivals with friends and hanging out with her boyfriend, Dominic Green. A post from October 18, 2021, shows Lexi on a track with her former coach Monica, as seen above. Monica has her arm around Lexi and the two are smiling at the camera. The caption is, “Got to reunite with the queen & my bull dawg fam for Navarro’s hoco. (I forgot to take more pics but I was living in the moment.” Fans love how close the two still are, and although Lexi is no longer doing competition cheerleading, she seems to lead a full life that's filled with interesting endeavors.
