Pokémon Unite Is Giving Away Free Aeos Tickets To All Players
Starting Thursday, December 9, all Pokémon Unite players who log in to the MOBA will have the option to claim 2,000 free Aeos Tickets, a treat meant to celebrate the game's latest milestone. Developers The Pokémon Company and TiMi Studios previously rewarded Pokémon Unite users with free Aeos Tickets on Nintendo Switch, following the game reaching two million downloads back in September. It makes sense that another milestone would result in similar in-game rewards.
The free-to-play mobile game originally launched on the Nintendo Switch in July, then made its way to Android and iOS devices in September. Notably, two teams of five face off against each other in matches where players can assume the roles of Pikachu, Charizard, Lucario, Eldegoss, and several other beloved Pokémon creatures. In fact, yet another famous character will join the roster later this week on December 9 - grass-type humanoid Tsareena. This particular All-Rounder should prove quite formidable on the field of battle given her powerful kick attacks and devasting Unite Move.
Today, December 6, the official Pokémon Unite Twitter account revealed the MOBA has been downloaded more than 50 million times since its launch. To thank fans for their continued support, The Pokémon Company and TiMi Studios will allow all players to claim 2,000 Aeos Tickets for free starting Thursday, December 9. The offer won't end until January 31, 2022 either, the tweet mentioned. Anyone interested in collecting the freebie needs only to log in to Pokémon Unite during the designated time frame. No doubt, countless players will put their 2,000 free Aeos Tickets to good use. As one of the title's in-game currency types, it especially comes in handy when purchasing Pokémon Unite skins, Held Items, and Item Enhancers, the latter of which prove beneficial for instances of upgrading effects and stats.
Pokémon Unite struggled out of the gate due in large part to what many considered egregious microtransactions. It's slowly coming into its own over time, however, with ongoing post-launch support regularly offering up fresh content and the like. Season 1 ended a few weeks ago on November 7, opening the door for Season 2 and an all-new Battle Pass featuring 60 tiers, 30 fewer than Season 1, and a whole host of item unlocks. At the time of writing, there's no word on what a third season of Pokémon Unite content may entail.
Pokémon Unite is available to play now across Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS platforms.
