Shawn Mendes Opens Up About How He Spent His Quarantine - Listen Now!

Shawn Mendes is opening up about his time in quarantine!

The 23-year-old “Summer of Love” superstar dished on everything from his obsession with coffee to his love of Game of Thrones on the latest episode of the Spout podcast.

Shawn started off by discussing the viral photos of him and his girlfriend Camila Cabello taking walks during quarantine.

“It was nice. It really became so important to just walk around,” he said. “It was nice to feel a part of a home and have that daily routine like that.”

He went on to say that he ended up developing a slight obsession with coffee during his time at home.

“I was getting really into the coffee mug,” he said. “I was like waking up in the morning and I was like, ‘What? Which coffee mug am I today? I was getting really technical about it and it was just like everything to me. You know, it was my home. I would go to bed super excited for that moment.”

He added that even though he’s back on the road now he still considers himself “a bit of a coffee snob.”

Shawn also opened up about his latest hobby, archery, which was partly inspired by his love of Game of Thrones.

“I think the real reality is that I struggle to put down the guitar and figure out what to do besides my job and besides music. I’m just completely obsessed with it,” he said of his new hobby. “So for better or for worse, I am searching for a hobby at the moment but like, I think that all those things are just exploring for me. I think that something’s going to click sooner or later but until then, I’m going to stick to coffee and working out.”

When asked about the GOT finale, the “Stitches” singer said that while he felt there were some “moments that felt odd,” the whole season was “phenomenal.”

“It was the most I’ve ever enjoyed watching TV in my life,” he gushed. “So I’m not going to sit here and talk s–t about the final show because in the grand scheme of things that show was mind-blowing.”
