Paul Pierce and Ray Allen have officially squashed their beef: 'We always gonna be brothers'

That 2008 Celtics championship team was a really good one. Yes, they might think they may think they were a bit better than they actually were at times, but they were still really good.

As good as things seemed to be on the court, though, it seems like things may have been the complete opposite off of it.

So many notable beefs sprouted from members of that team. But not a single one might be more notable than Ray Allen versus, well, basically the entire Celtics’ team.

Things weren’t always the smoothest between Allen and the group, but they really fell apart when Allen left the Celtics to join LeBron James’ Miami Heat in the 2012-13 season. He wanted to win a championship with LeBron James and he did.

But that rubbed the rest of the Celtics the wrong way after their history of playing against James. Kevin Garnett literally didn’t speak to Allen after he left. Pierce talked about how they felt Allen blindsided them with his exit a few years ago.  A once strong big 3 just fell completely apart.

But now, apparently, that’s all water under the bridge. At least for one of the Celtics, anyway.

Pierce saw Allen at a Hall of Fame event on Friday and pulled up on him saying “we always gonna be brothers.”

That’s a pretty awesome moment. It’s good to see that, at least, these two have put the past behind them. Business is business. And it was years ago. There’s no point in staying mad about it.

Don’t tell that to Kevin Garnett, though.
