Match day programmes just a click away
Maidstone United’s match day programme will be available online – on an experimental basis – for the rest of this season.
The club have been considering going digital for several years as programme sales dwindle and paper programmes are costly, as well as environmentally wasteful.
A copy of the full programme will be uploaded to the club’s website on the morning of a Saturday match and the afternoon of any midweek fixture.
A PDF copy of the programme can be downloaded and saved within seven days of publication and a back catalogue can also be viewed online.
As well as the digital programme a ‘mini-programme’ including a team sheet will be available for an optional donation from the club shop half an hour or so before kick off. This double-sided colour publication will include the line-ups on one side and information about forthcoming events and fixtures on the other.
Club chief executive Bill Williams said: “We introduced an online programme last season and will continue with that format this year.
“For those who want a physical memento of the fixture, I hope the new double-sided team sheet will provide for that.
“We’re also looking to post the team sheet at a couple of locations around the ground for fans to photograph or write down in their notebooks.”
