Daniel Sturridge shocked clubs are not lining up to sign Tottenham star
Former Liverpool and Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge has hailed the impact of Tottenham forward Heung-min Son, after he netted the winner against Watford at the weekend.
Son, 29, made the move to North London in 2015 for a fee of £22 million, and has enjoyed seasons of immense productivity from both out wide and up front.
His free-kick in Spurs’ 1-0 win against Watford on Sunday not only proved to be the winner, but it was his 72nd goal in his 200th Premier League appearance for the club.
In total, that has taken his overall tally to 109 goals in 284 games – a solid return for a player who has plied the majority of his trade on the left flank.
The South Korean’s performances for Spurs, particularly over the last couple of seasons, have earned him the reward of a new lucrative four-year deal, which he signed at the end of last month.
Ex-Liverpool man Sturridge has taken a huge liking to Son at Spurs and praised the forward on Twitter following his latest strike on Sunday.
He raved about Son’s all-around game and claimed he isn’t given enough credit or spoken about enough in comparison to other forwards in Europe.

Spurs Web Opinion
Since Son arrived in north London in 2015, he has simply got better and better. His return is phenomenal from a statistical point of view, but his all-around game has improved so much in recent seasons. He is one of those players that makes others around him step up to his level, and Spurs are very fortunate to have tied him down to a long-term deal.
