Cops rush to ‘bomb threat’ at Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas as ‘suspicious package’ sparks lockdown
A BOMB scare was reported at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas after a suspicious package was found on Tuesday afternoon.
Metro police said on Tuesday they were investigating a suspicious item at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas.
The US Sun reached out to the Las Vegas Police Department and received this statement from the Office of Public Information:
“On August 31, 2021, at approximately 1:10 p.m., the LVMPD Dispatch Center received a call of a suspicious item at a property located near the 2000 block of Fashion Show Dr.”
“The LVMPD ARMOR unit (The All Hazard Multi-Agency Operations and Response Section of the Emergency Operations Bureau) responded to the scene and determined the item was not dangerous.”
“This is an ongoing investigation.”
People on Twitter reacted to the news as it broke.
One Twitter user, Adrian H, shared photos from the scene and wrote, “Fashion Show Mall Security says there is a potential bomb threat at neighboring Trump Tower. Nordstrom is currently locked down.”
“Police and fire set up outside the Trump Hotel and Fashion Show Mall off the Las Vegas Strip,” David Charns, an investigative reporter in Las Vegas wrote.

“Someone called in a bomb threat to Trump Hotel in Vegas… My dad just sent me a video, everyone had to evacuate the building,” another Twitter user added.
Video from the scene shared by 8NewsNow showed a robot was sent to the front of the hotel.
The US Sun also reached out to the Trump organization for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
This is not the first threat made at a Trump International Hotel in recent years.
Police in New York also investigated a possible bomb threat at Trump International Hotel in midtown Manhattan in July 2020.
At the time, the New York City Police Department verified that the threat was unconfirmed and that officers were investigating at the scene.
Unfounded bomb threats were also called into at least three Trump properties in New York City on January 7, 2021, according to the New York Daily News.
One was phoned into the Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point in the Bronx, and a second threat was called into the Trump Pavilion in Richmond Hills, Queens.
The third was made against Trump World Tower, located next to the United Nations in Manhattan.
