2 of the 3 medals in competition at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games have fallen on the side of Marbella Football Center’s friends. Spain won the silver medal, while Mexico took the bronze.
The Spanish national team held a 13-day training camp in July at the Meliá Villaitana Football Center complex, where the players stayed away from the media noise, focusing on their preparation.
The Mexican national team spent more than 10 days at the Marbella Football Center, along with 4 other teams. These teams played the Preolympic Match Week, precisely to prepare for this important event.
The Spanish team had a great tournament, but a goal from the Brazilian team in extra time (Malcom), deprived Luis de la Fuente’s men of a well-deserved gold medal. Mexico, who lost in the semi-finals to Brazil, defeated Japan in the bronze medal match.
It is a pleasure and a source of pride for us to see our friends in the top positions of such an important tournament as the Olympic Games. From the Costa del Sol we congratulate our friends for their great performance.
