KUWTK: How Kim Kardashian's Fashion Changed Since Divorcing Kanye
The style of Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian has evolved over the years, particularly in relation to different influences and stages of her life. The famous reality star officially filed for divorce in February of 2021. Since then, her sense of fashion has evolved again. Kardashian appears to be taking inspiration from her early 2010s looks and bringing them back to the present.
When Kim Kardashian and Kanye West began dating in 2012, fans noticed that Kim’s style changed. She began wearing more oversized clothes and athleisure wear. The KUWTK star was also a model for many of Kanye’s Yeezy looks, which contributed to her transition to a more "street style" version of couture. At one point in 2014, the rap artist controversially tweeted, “I have to dress Kim every day so she doesn’t embarrass me.” Now that Kim and Kanye are officially over, Kardashian has reclaimed her old style and peppered in some new influences.
It’s no secret that Kim is a lover of everything over-the-top, shiny, and glamorous. More of Kim from KUWTK's looks include opulent clothes and jewelry, just like the clothing and accessories she used to wear in the 2010s era. An example is the silver grill with opal and diamonds shown above. In the caption, Kardashian references her “birthstone” which is opal since she was born in October.
Given that Kim is a Californian woman, she’s always got a good bikini look up her sleeve. In a recent picture from her Kim Kardashian Instagram, the Skims label owner shows off her curves in an impossibly tiny bathing suit. She’s posted many more beachy swimsuit photos since her split from Kanye, and fans definitely expect Kim from KUWTK to post more.
All the Kardashians are known for their curves, especially Kim. The old Kim Kardashian wore petite dresses that accentuated her small waist and hourglass figure. In the top and bottom photos, Kim is bringing back the old look.
As a part of the launch of the SKIMS “cozy fabric,” Kim did this photoshoot with a fuzzy sports car. Only Kim Kardashian could pull off a completely new texture like this!
Most recently, Kim wore a black Balenciaga jumpsuit. The outfit included a mask with zippers for the eyes and mouth, which shocked fans. She wore the outfit to Kanye’s second Donda album listening event in Atlanta. This look was a lot darker than what Kim from Keeping Up With the Kardashians usually wears.
