AS the transfer window hots up, super-agents behind the scenes are desperate to get their clients the best possible deal.
And they are paid handsomely for doing so.

The vast majority of top players have the best, most experienced possible agents to help them maximise their earnings.
In figures provided by Forbes, and unearthed via OLBG research, there are six representatives that earn a particularly eye-watering amount.
Mino Raiola has become a household name among football fans.
The Italian represents the likes of Paul Pogba, Erling Haaland, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku among others.
Raiola is said to have 77 players on his books at the moment, and has earned around £61million in commissions.
The 53-year-old is believed to have around £800million worth of talent on his roster – and earns on average £797,000 per transfer that he is involved in.
Gareth Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett’s ICM Stellar Sports has an eyewatering £1.32bn worth of talent across 637 clients.
They have earned over £100million in commissions, with England stars Jack Grealish, Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, Jordan Pickford and Ben Chilwell signed up.
Despite the incredibly high volume of clients, Barnett’s agency still manages to pocket around £150k per transfer.
Jorge Mendes’ Gestifute has 149 players on the books, including Cristiano Ronaldo.
He has made over £75m in commissions, with over £500k per transfer.
Mendes has an incredible hold over the Portuguese market, with Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva, Joao Cancelo, Diogo Jota and Renato Sanches, among numerous others, part of Gestifute.
Volker Struth is a less well-known name, but has still raked in over £30m in commissions through SportsTotal.
His clients include Toni Kroos, Dayot Upamecano and Niklas Sule – among a host of other German stars.
Struth’s agency represents 80 players in total, and makes £378k per transfer that it is involved with.
Frank Trimboli’s Creative Artists Agency has raked in over £21m in commissions, and has 504 players on its books.
Trimboli works with Manchester United target Raphael Varane, as well as the likes of Dele Alli, Son Heung-min and Kyle Walker.
Compared to his peers mentioned in this article, Trimboli’s agency pockets a modest £42k per transfer on average.
