AAA: Doubleheader Game 1: Rochester Red Wings (26-34) 9, Syracuse Mets (20-41) 4
While Syracuse never led this game, they were only losing 5-4 before a Rochester sacrifice fly and a three-run homer blew the game open in the top of the seventh.
Davis hit his fourth Syracuse home run on a line drive to right. He played all seven innings at third base and appears ready to hit major league pitching ahead of his looming activation from the 60-day IL.
Sisco hit another home run. His numbers with Syracuse so far are now .318/.444/.636.
Reyes and reliever Tom Windle both struggled. It was Windle who let the game get away in the seventh by giving up four runs, all of which were earned.

G2: Syracuse Mets (21-41) 7, Rochester Red Wings (26-35) 5
Cameron Maybin, Orlando Calixte, and Cuthbert led Syracuse to a come-from-behind win capped off by a go-ahead two-run double by Calixte in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Lee pinch hit and struck out in his only plate appearance of game two.
Almora’s single came on a flyball to center field. He also grounded out and flew out twice.
Mazeika’s single drove in Syracuse’s first run and came on a line drive to center field.
Maybin played left field and was 3-for-4 with a double.
Tropeano was solid for three innings but the recently acquired Hartlieb struggled, giving up three runs in 1 1/3 innings.
Stephen Nogosek recorded his fifth save and lowered his ERA to 4.71.
AA: Altoona Curve (33-26) 10, Binghamton Rumble Ponies (22-37) 3
A lopsided loss and Vientos having to leave the game after getting hit on the hand with a pitch put a damper on Baty’s Double-A debut.
Baty’s first Double-A hit came on a sharp groundball that he pulled down the right field line. His hustle allowed him to take advantage of a fielding error by Altoona’s right fielder and advance to third on the play.

Mangum’s two doubles both came on fly balls, one to left field and the other to right. His numbers since being promoted to Binghamton are now .273/.312/.447.
Starter Dustin Beggs and reliever Tom Hackimer were the only pitchers Binghamton used and they both struggled, combining to give up ten runs, 12 hits, three walks, and only struck out six.
A+: Jersey Shore BlueClaws (27-35) 3, Brooklyn Cyclones (20-40) 2
Mauricio’s big game wasn’t enough as Brooklyn lost a close game in the ninth inning.
Alvarez failed to reach base in any of his four plate appearances. His numbers have slipped a bit lately but his .231/.350/.479 line and 127 wRC+ with Brooklyn is still fantastic for a teenage catcher.

Mauricio had one of his better games of the season. Not only did he draw a walk and not strike out, he also had two hits including a game-tying two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning. It was his tenth double of the season.
Butto turned in another strong start. He has now struck out 25.1% of his batters faced and only walked 6.3%.
It was Ragan who allowed Edwards’ inherited runner to score on an RBI double in the top of the ninth.
A-: Doubleheader Game 1: St. Lucie Mets (32-29) 6, Palm Beach Cardinals (23-37) 3
St. Lucie drew six walks and had eight hits in their Game 1 victory of Palm Beach.
Ramirez’ single was a well-placed soft pop-up that dropped in for a hit. He was then caught trying to steal second base, dropping him to 11-for-16 (68.8%) on steal attempts.
Palmer’s hit was a ground-rule double on a fly ball to right-center field. It was his ninth double of the season and his thirteenth extra base hit.
St. Lucie took the lead for good when Jose Peroza drew a bases loaded walk in the top of the fifth.
Santos pitched the final two innings and got his fifth save of the season.
G2: St. Lucie Mets (32-29) 4, Palm Beach Cardinals (23-38) 2
Matt O’Neill‘s go-ahead three-run homer in the top of the sixth inning lifted St. Lucie over Palm Beach for a doubleheader sweep.
Ramirez had two hits, a grounder to left field and a soft ground ball infield single to third base.
Palmer was hit by a pitch in his last plate appearance. While he didn’t come out of the game immediately, he was pinch-hit for in the seventh inning. It’s unclear whether or not the HBP had anything to do with Palmer getting taken out of the game.
Peroza’s walk rate is now 17.4%.
FCL: FCL Mets (6-3) 4, FCL Nationals (5-6) 3
This was the first career home run for Perozo, a 2019 IFA signee.

Yes, Gregory is the cousin of Vladimir Guerrero Jr., unfortunately for the Mets he’s struggled in his minor league career.
