Developer Atlus has released a new story trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V, revealing new information about the game's characters and world. Much new information has been revealed about Shin Megami Tensei V, following a deep dive into the game's new additions and improvements during Nintendo's E3 2021 Direct.
Details about the story of Shin Megami Tensei V have been scant so far, outside of a few details. The main character is a high school student from Tokyo, who is dragged into a post-apocalyptic version of the world, where demons and monsters roam the land. He is granted the power to take on a new form, which gives him the strength to fight his supernatural enemies, much like the Demi-fiend in Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne. The official Atlus YouTube channel has uploaded a story trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V, revealing new information about the game. The protagonist joins a group of the remaining humans, as they use his power to protect Tokyo from the army of demons. As he defeats more and more of them, he begins to question his choices and wonders if the old world is worth saving.
Fans desperately wanted more information about Shin Megami Tensei V for years, as it was revealed during the first Nintendo Switch event in 2017, but has only received new info over the past year. Atlus has opened the floodgates on Shin Megami Tensei V ahead of its November launch. It won't be long now until fans can return to the demon-infested streets of Tokyo, in order to bind enemies to their will and decide the fate of an entire world.
Shin Megami Tensei V will be available on Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021.
