Working Party 17 July – Junior Section
Following on from the successful Day Sailors' working party in April with its very pleasing turnout of members, the second of three working parties this year will be on Saturday morning, 17 July, starting at 10 am.
On the grounds that you might like to meet other members with similar sailing interests, we aim each working party at a different section of the Club membership. Day Sailors came first, in April. We suggest that Junior families join us this coming weekend, and Racers on 25 September - but any member is welcome to join any working party or even all three! Many hands make light work.
SYC working parties offer an opportunity for members to make a voluntary hands-on contribution to keeping our Club pleasant and tidy for all, whilst getting to know others whom you have not met before. Work normally starts at 10 am and continues until lunchtime. Free doughnuts and drinks are provided.
The job list varies from one working party to the next, but you can be sure that there will always be a role for members prepared to grab a wheelbarrow and shovel in order to clear the foreshore of washed-up shingle, rubble and slippery seaweed so that regular Club activities can run smoothly.
