Foo Fighters postpone Forum show due to COVID-19
Foo Fighters postponed a show Forum in Inglewood on scheduled for Saturday, July, 17, due to the coronavirus, the band posted on social media Wednesday, July 14.
The sold-out show, which was supposed to be a celebratory return to the venue after the coronavirus pandemic shut down live music for more than a year, was scrapped after someone in the Foo Fighters organization tested positive for COVID-19, according to the band’s post.
“Despite having made every effort to follow CDC Covid protocols and local laws, there has been a confirmed Covid-19 case within the Foo Fighters organization,” the post on the band’s Twitter read.
The post said that the Saturday show was being postponed “out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of the band, crew and most of all the fans.”
The post said a new date would be announced soon and tickets would be honored then.

Last month, the L.A.-area group played the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills as a warm-up gig for a performance Madison Square Garden in New York City. The Canyon Club show required all fans to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination. And when fans purchased tickets for the now-postponed Forum show, they had to confirm that they would be fully vaccinated or will have received a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event.
The band also performed as part of the televised Vax Live concert at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood in May that encouraged vaccinations.
The band released its new album, “Medicine at Midnight,” in February, and on Saturday will release “Hail Satin,” a limited edition vinyl EP for Record Store Day featuring Bee Gees covers under the moniker the Dee Gees, a playful reference to the initials of founder and frontman Dave Grohl.
