Making Of The Godfather Series The Offer Begins Production
The Offer, which will premiere on Paramount+, detailing the story of producer Albert S. Ruddy, begins production. The ten-episode limited series will follow the making of the 1972 gangster crime classic, The Godfather, that was directed by Francis Ford Coppola and starred Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, Robert Duvall, and Diane Keaton. The film is considered one of the best films ever made in history and received a myriad of accolades including the Academy Award for Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Actor for Brando, which he famously refused.
Paramount+ has now posted a video on their official Twitter account, revealing that The Offer is now commencing production. The series will star Miles Teller as Ruddy, replacing Armie Hammer in the role. Teller is also an executive producer, along with Leslie Grief and the real-life Al Ruddy. Nikki Toscano will serve as showrunner and Michael Tolkin will join Toscano as co-writer and executive producer. Dexter Fletcher, whom many know as the director of Rocketman, and the uncredited director of Bohemian Rhapsody, will also executive produce as well as direct a number of episodes for the series. The Offer is quickly becoming a highly anticipated show, and for many fans of The Godfather trilogy, it will be interesting to see the life of Al Ruddy and the effect he had on the making of the movie. More information is sure to come in the approaching months and now that the limited series has begun shooting, The Offer is now one step closer to revealing how everything all started and what went on behind the scenes of the classic film.
