Some of the organization’s top young players are now in the majors, but there are still plenty of top prospects in the minors.
The NL won Sunday’s Futures Game, 8-3, thanks to five home runs. Shane Baz didn’t give up any of them. He struck out two in a 1-2-3 inning. Xavier Edwards started and grounded out.
Matthew Liberatore started for the NL and was named the winning pitcher.
Based on texting with scouts post futures game, it’s pretty clear that Shane Baz was the most impressive arm in the game.
