Everton release new 2021/22 home kit and drop hint James Rodriguez and Richarlison are STAYING despite transfer interest
EVERTON hinted James Rodriguez and Richarlison will stay this summer – after including them in their new kit launch.
The South American duo have both been linked with transfers away from Goodison Park this summer.
Those rumours intensified when Carlo Ancelotti left the club to return to Real Madrid as he reportedly called Richarlison about a Bernabeu transfer.
Rodriguez, meanwhile, was tipped with a transfer to Atletico Madrid, AC Milan or Napoli.
But the video dropping the 2021-22 home strip suggests they are planning on continuing on Merseyside next season.
Seamus Coleman, Jordan Pickford, Allan, Michael Keane, Danielle Taylor and Izzy Christiansen also feature in the unveiling video.
The promo features shots around Liverpool with fans slapping blue across the city centre.
There are also contributions from Evertonians around the world – including sand art in Australia, a barber in Ireland, a Chinese nail artist, a Malaysian carpenter, a Greek graphic designer and a US-based baker.
There was a mixed reaction for the ‘two-tone, dazzle-camouflage’ design with yellow and white trim – inspired by the role of the city of Liverpool and its docks in painting naval ships.
But one fan could not look past the fact star-men Rodriguez and Richarlison were both included.
