Paddy Pimblett has a date and opponent for his highly-anticipated UFC debut.
The former Cage Warriors featherweight champion has been scheduled to take on Luigi Vendramini on Sept. 4 at a UFC event in London, England. The news was confirmed by MMA Junkie on Friday after an initial report from Combate.
Pimblett (16-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) is looking to get his first UFC win and extend his winning streak to three in a row. The Englishman won the Cage Warriors 145-pound belt in 2016 and subsequently lost the title in the following bout. “The Baddy” last fought in March when he submitted Davide Martinez.
Meanwhile, Luigi Vendramini (9-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) is out to bounce back from his defeat to Fares Ziam last month at UFC 263. The Brazilian made his UFC debut in August 2018 and has only been able to compete three times since, going 1-2.
