Rodjzae Funches-Heard, 26, was followed to her car last October and shot in her chest, authorities say.
A man has been charged with fatally shooting a woman last October following an argument in Gresham on the South Side.
Bryan Tart, 36, followed Rodjzae Funches-Heard to a vehicle and shot her in the chest around 4:20 a.m. Oct. 18 in the 7500 block of South Emerald Avenue, Chicago police said.
Funches-Heard, 26, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. She lived in Bellwood.
Tart, of the Near West Side, was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree murder, police said.
He was scheduled to appear in bond court Friday.
