Tyrese Wants Rihanna To Play His Girlfriend In Next ‘Fast & Furious’ Film
Tyrese has some casting suggestions for the final two ‘Fast & Furious’ films.
HipHollywood caught up with the singer/ actor, who plays the smart-witted Roman Pearce, about ‘Fast 9’ and who he’d like to see in future films.
“Roman has been single for the last 18 years. I threw out there not only do I think she is a beautiful sexy woman, but I threw out there Rihanna would be perfect for ‘Fast’ because not only is she a bad girl all of her attitude and energy, and I think for the movie premiere she would kill every red carpet there is,” he explained.
“Hopefully if she joins the franchise they don’t take my idea and make her someone else’s girlfriend because I’ll be mad as hell,” he added.
While speaking fondly about his time co-starring in the franchise, Tyrese gave credit to late director John Singleton for casting him in ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’ in 2003.
Tyrese also shared that Fast 10 is set to start filming in 2022 but in the meantime he plans to get to work on his passion project a biopic on Teddy Pendergrass.
“I just read the script a couple days ago that Lee Daniels and the producer Donald De Line sent me, and I’m shook, it’s really about to happen,” said Gibson who also recurred on Daniels’ Fox series Star.
Warner Bros Pictures acquired the life rights of the iconic Philadelphia-born R&B singer-songwriter in 2019. Tyrese is set to take on the lead role as Pendergrass.
