The health ministry said there had been no new deaths from Covid on Sunday and announced that 61 people had tested positive from 30,610 PCR and rapid tests, a positivity rate of 0.2 per cent.
Positivity rates rose in all districts except Nicosia.
There are currently 46 people in hospitals of whom 22 are in a serious condition. Of these 10 are intubated.
The death toll since March 2020 remains at 378.
Of the 30,610 positives on Sunday, 5,832 were PCR tests and 24,778 rapid tests, yielding 61 infections as follows:
1 from 60 samples taken through contact tracing
7 from 4,197 samples taken as part of a passenger checks at Larnaca and Paphos airports.
9 from 1,371 samples taken through private initiative.
1 from 216 samples processed in private clinical laboratories and pharmacies.
43 from 24,562 rapid tests done under the ministry’s screening programme
In addition, 173 samples were tested on GP referrals, and 31 processed at hospital labs did not turn up any positives.
From the free screening programme, Limassol had the highest number of positives with 13 out of 6,226 tests – positivity rate of 0.21 per cent.
Nicosia saw 5 positives from 8,840 tests – positivity 0.06
Larnaca counted 9 positives from 3,103 tests – positivity 0.29
Paphos had 7 positives from 2,891 tests – positivity 0.24
Famagusta area saw 9 positives from 2,077 tests – positivity 0.43
