DENISE Welch has hit out in fury after she was stopped from travelling with her sick father in an ambulance – despite thousands of football fans being allowed to fill the streets.
The Loose Women star, 63, took to social media in a rage after seeing the scenes of the crowds that had formed ahead of England’s Euro 2020 match against Scotland on Friday.

Posting a picture of football fans packed into a street, she fumed: “Today, I wasn’t allowed to travel in an ambulance with my 84yr old frightened dad. Why?? There is no reason.
“I’ve tried to call out this hypocrisy for over a year. I came off Twitter as I was called a covid denier. Nothing could be further from the truth. But I knew this would happen.
“I saw the utter hypocrisy when the govt allowed the clap for carers to become a weekly carnival with emergency services lining the streets with their sirens blaring.
Denise has described the Covid-19 restrictions as ‘hypocritical’[/caption] The Loose Women star said her elderly father was ‘frightened’[/caption]“Karaoke and wine parties, nurses gathering outside hugging. Bridges full of people clapping.
“Meanwhile, 2 men were threatened with arrest as they tried to comfort their mother sat alone at her husbands funeral.”
Denise went on to accuse the Government of being “in thrall” to epidemiologist Neil Ferguson, who last year resigned from his Government position after breaking lockdown to repeatedly visit his lover.
At the time, Prof Ferguson said: “I accept I made an error of judgement and took the wrong course of action.
Football fans ignored warnings to stay away from cities unless they had tickets to the match at Wembley Stadium[/caption]“I acted in the belief that I was immune, having tested positive for coronavirus and completely isolated myself for almost two weeks after developing symptoms.”
Denise then continued: “Why has there been zero transparency? During Brexit (remember that?) there were nightly debates but with Covid.. nothing.
“People’s voices silenced if they dared ask any questions.”
Turning her attention to the National Health Service, she said: “NHS workers (I’ve spent 10 weeks amongst them) not allowed to speak out about ANYTHING.
Denise’s father’s heath has deteriorated during the past year[/caption]“The NHS is in a mess. It has been for years and we are told that WE have to save it. We don’t. They have to save us.
“But the communication system within it is completely and utterly broken and that is the fault of the trust bosses. No one else.
“This has to stop. We need to be given our freedom back.”
Last year, during the height of the pandemic, Denise quit Twitter after having a furious online fight with Piers Morgan.

Piers, 56, staunchly criticised Denise, calling “dumb, deluded and dangerous”. She then decided to take a break from social media.
Denise has now confirmed she has had both her vaccinations for Covid-19 and says she ‘wants to make her own decisions about the risks she takes’.
She concluded her latest rant about football fans: “I’m not a 5G, great reset believer. I believe it is total incompetence, fear, cover up and a desire not to lose these emergency powers they’ve been granted.
She has marked Father’s Day with a video of her beloved dad dressed as Dolly Parton[/caption]“I no longer want my life controlled by communist Susan Michie with her Fidel Castro shrine behind her!!! Im done.”
Since sharing her thoughts, Denise has used Instagram to publicly wish her dad a ‘Happy Father’s Day’.
Denise posted a video of Vin dancing around dressed as country legend Dolly Parton, saying: “This wonderful tribute to Dolly Parton is how dad dealt with the first lockdown.
“Sadly after a year of it his health started to deteriorate. But he is a fighter and we are so touched as a family with the support my posts about him have received.
“Thinking of all those today who have dads that are poorly and those who have lost theirs.”
