1 st Youth European Artistic Swimming Championships – Rijeka
Dear LEN Member Federations, Dear LEN Artistic Swimming Family, Dear Friends,
It is my pleasure to announce that the LEN Bureau has agreed to stage this year the 1st Youth European Artistic Swimming Championships.
The 1 st Youth European Artistic Swimming Championships, open to athletes 13-15 years of age, will be hosted, together with the COMEN Artistic Swimming Cup, in Rijeka (CRO) on 2-5 September 2021.
This is very good news for Artistic Swimming as it will give the opportunity also to the younger athletes to take part in a Continental competition. The competition will now become part of the LEN Calendar and will be held every two years.
This year this new event takes on an even more important meaning. After a very long forced break due to the pandemic, our sport seems to be finally somehow returning to the long-awaited normalcy. Athletes in all disciplines are eager to get back to competing and this event will indeed give such great opportunity also to the youngest athletes, who are the future of any sport
Further details about the event are to be communicated very soon, in due time, but I wanted to let you know about it as soon as it was decided so that you can start planning accordingly.
