WATCH: Incredible sneak-peek video from Legoland Discovery Center Bay Area

In the run up to its June 14 grand opening, Legoland Discovery Center Bay Area has released some sneak-preview video footage of the venue’s Miniland area — and it’s pretty stupendous.

Built from more than 1.5 million Lego bricks, the Miniland component of the center is a vast miniature replica of some of the Bay Area’s most beloved landmarks. The attraction features nearly 40 Lego builds, including those created in the likeness of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Transamerica Pyramid, Apple Park, Stanford’s Hoover Tower, Oakland City Hall, UC Berkeley’s Sproul Plaza and much, much more.

In the minute-long preview video, the camera pans over the incredible structures and there’s something for everyone, it seems. Sports fans, for example, will marvel at the replicas of Oracle Park, the Chase Center and delight in watching tiny 49ers scoot across the turf at Levi’s Stadium.

We’re told that it took a team of 45 Lego model builders, nine Lego designers and four technicians more than 7,150 hours to build Miniland. (Shout out to whoever created the fireworks display over the Golden Gate Bridge).

Located at Great Mall in Milpitas, Legoland Discovery Center Bay Area will celebrate its grand opening Monday, June 14. A limited number of tickets are available for June 8-13, ahead of the grand opening. Also, single-day tickets and annual passes are available.
