My boyfriend wants me to leave my family and friends for a new life in Canada
DEAR DEIDRE: I LOVED Canada when I visited with my boyfriend – but he wants to move there.
I’m very close to my parents and always planned to stay here, raising a family with them close by. I worry about their care as they get older.
I’d miss them terribly and the thought of having children they can’t spend quality time with would break their hearts.

If you do go, resentment might build and that is never good in a relationship.
Listen to your instincts. If you really don’t want to go, you must dig in your heels and tell your boyfriend this move is not for you.

You can always come home if you still see your future back home. But ultimately only you can make this decision.
